About Us

At Triple Threat Lacrosse (TTL), we believe lacrosse is more than a game–it’s a vehicle for building confident leaders and resilient young women.

Our Story

At Triple Threat Lacrosse (TTL), we believe the game is a training ground for life.

Founded by Halley Griggs and Ciara Thurlow, TTL was born from a shared passion to create something different in an often competitive sports landscape — a place where athletes come together to grow, push themselves, and play with purpose.

Our mission is to develop the complete athlete through intentional programming that combines elite lacrosse instruction with leadership development, character building, and mental and wellness education. Here, athletes are encouraged to set goals, embrace challenges, and discover their edge — building confidence, resilience, and belief both on and off the field.

Our coaches demand effort, celebrate progress, and mentor each player as both an athlete and a person, creating an environment that is supportive, motivating, and personal.

What sets TTL apart is what lasts beyond the field. Many of our alumni return as coaches and mentors, continuing our "come back, give back" tradition rooted in leadership, gratitude, and community — passing forward the lessons that shaped them.

Built on hard work, joy, and sisterhood.

Our coaching is personal. Our culture is positive. Our community is supportive and inspiring. Our athletes love TTL because it feels like home — the music is loud, the energy is high, and every player is empowered to step outside her comfort zone, chase her goals, and lead with confidence.

Halley Quillinan Griggs is a co-founder of Triple Threat Lacrosse and a former standout at Syracuse University, where she made program history as the first four-time All-American in Syracuse women’s lacrosse history and just the second Syracuse female athlete to earn All-American honors in all four years of her collegiate career. At the conclusion of her playing career, she was third on the all-time goals list (209), third in points (254) and second in caused turnovers (96) and draw controls (166). Throughout her college journey, Halley also competed as a midfielder with the U.S. Women’s National Team, and in the years following her graduation, she was inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame (Adirondack Chapter) and later recognized as only the second player in program history to receive the Syracuse University LetterWinner of Distinction.

Following her playing career, Halley worked in lacrosse media with Inside Lacrosse and ESPN before transitioning into coaching. She previously coached at Greens Farms Academy (2019–2021) and later joined the staff at Greenwich Academy (2022–2024), where she helped lead the program to a national top-10 ranking in 2023 and a top-25 finish. Halley is excited to be rejoining the Greens Farms Academy coaching staff for the 2026 season alongside Thurlow.

Halley resides in Rowayton with her husband, Brian, and their two daughters, Dempsey and Charlotte.
