WELCOME TO TRIPLE THREAT

At Triple Threat Lacrosse, our aim is simple. We are providing our student-athletes with the tools to help them become the ultimate 'triple threat.' We combine (1) skill and lacrosse IQ enhancement with (2) character and leadership building, along with (3) mental and physical wellness education, to empower the complete athlete—both on and off the field. 

Ciara Thurlow and Halley Quillinan Griggs are the co-founders of Triple Threat Lacrosse.

The duo launched Triple Threat Lacrosse in Fall 2018.

Thurlow is currently the Head Coach at Greens Farms Academy and the Vice President of Darien Youth Lacrosse, where she serves as the Head Coach for Darien's U14 Team, having won 11 of the last 13 CONNY Championships. Formerly the Head Co-Coach at Wilton High School (2002-10), Thurlow led the Warriors to four FCIAC Championships and a pair of Connecticut State Championships. In 2006, she was named the Connecticut Coach of the Year; three years later, she was inducted into the Wilton Hall of Fame. In 2013, she was honored as a YMCA Woman of Distinction. Thurlow was a four-year letter winner at Villanova University.

A former four-time All-American at Syracuse University and U.S. National Team midfielder, Griggs helped guide the Orange to two NCAA semifinal and two NCAA quarterfinal appearances, capturing a pair of BIG EAST Championships along the way. Griggs currently ranks in Syracuse's top ten for career points (246), goals (207), draws (166) and caused turnovers (96). Having spent nearly a decade of her life at Inside Lacrosse, Griggs held the position of Women's Director until she stepped down in December 2021; but remains an Editor-at-Large for the publication. She also served as a women's color analyst and reporter for ESPN during her time with IL. Most recently, Griggs was the Head Coach at Greenwich Academy from 2022-2024. From 2019-2021, Griggs was the Associate Head Coach at Greens Farms Academy.
